Heels and Flip Flops: Prom Night 2010
Most high school girls don't wear really dressy shoes often. I would advise practicing walking in your shoes at least two weeks before prom. Break those babies in! Otherwise, you may end up with a list of problems on prom night including blisters, sore feet, calluses, sweaty feet, broken heels, and the worst of all, you might fall over if your heels are really tall.
Aside from the OMG HIGH HEELS NIGHTMARE, you could get use to your heels and if you still don't feel 100% comfortable wearing them all night long, you can do what many girls do and that is ROCK FLOPS! Yes, indeed! Flip flops are an excellent choice for prom night, and much better than the oh-so-tacky BAREFOOT ON THE DANCE FLOOR approach so many girls opt for. Don't do it. By the end of the night, the bottoms of your feet will look like tar. Not so cute for prom night. Get yourself a nice trendy pair of flip flops that match your dress. This way, you can still dance and walk comfortably and show off those cutesy toes of yours. Here are a few examples of some really cute prom flip flops.
Baby Doll Dresses!
Yay! I love baby doll dresses. The good think about baby doll dresses is it allows you to show off your feet. Feet = cute shoes and perfect pedi. Anyways, I've posted some super cute baby doll dresses here to give you girls and idea if you need help deciding on a style or color choice for this year's prom.

Yellow Dresses and Gowns
Slither in Snake Skin
Shoe of the Week - Ritzy by Bakershoes.com
This shoe is super fly! The Ritzy which can be purchased at Baker shoes for under $50 a pair, comes in three smoking hot colors, PEWTER, PURPLE, and BLACK. The pewter is an awesome grayish platinum blend, sleek enough to wear with any dress where silver, platinum or gray is an accentuating color. The purple is more of a magenta if you ask me, and should probably be matched up in person if getting the right color counts. This shoe would also look great with a multicolored gown that may have various shades of pinks and purples. Last but never least is the evening's classic, black. I love the black because unlike the pewter and purple Ritzy, the black has no silver accents, allowing it to be matched with an outfit where either silver or gold are the jewelry choices.
Tacky Promsters from Prior Years
Don't let waiting until the last minute have a negative impact on your special prom day. These losers obviously didn't know they were going to prom because they look like they got ready at the last minute. Take a moment and learn from the mistakes these TACK HEADS made. This could be you.
Poor Shannon in her pink salmon ruffle taffeta gown never knew what hit her when the laughs rang out from the other kids at prom. Sometimes its hard to know when too much is too much. I think this gown would have been a thousand times nicer had it been a lot shorter. Right above the knee would have been so cute allowing all of her friends to see the lovely shoes she picked out and the classy pedicure she had done.BED SKIRT ALERT! Sad Shanelle brought a tear to my eye when she showed me the pictures she took before prom wearing a recycled BED-IN-A-BAG dress. I understand the point of being Earth conscious and green and what not, but seriously? NO! BIG NO!
This poor little redneck girl didn't have a chance. Evidently, she wanted to make her pappy proud by rocking a "rebel flag" inspired gown for her senior prom. Being patriotic should never show on prom night. This goes for any flag. The Mexico flag - DON'T DO IT! The Puerto Rican flag for the fly Boricua mamis - DON'T DO IT! The Italian flag for 2010 Prom Guidettes - DON'T DO IT! You get the point. This girl's name is Kelly. Kelly looks a hot mess in basically a bikini top and sparkly towel wrapped around her waist. The color is actually cute on her but the style and cut of thisdress is totally bad! Under dressing is so played out when it comes to prom. Not only that, but it will embarrass your parents and the pictures last forever.
